Vice President, Safeguards, Security, and Emergency Services

Kristy McWilliams is vice president of Safeguards, Security, and Emergency Services (SS&ES) for Consolidated Nuclear Security (CNS), the management and operating contractor for the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas, and the Y 12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. In this role, she is responsible for implementing safeguards, security, and emergency services strategies and practices at both sites.

McWilliams previously served as senior director of Safeguards and Security at Pantex where she was responsible for all aspects of security operations and integration.

She has more than 20 years of experience working as a contractor for the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration. Her positions with CNS have included deputy director of SS&ES and senior director of Enterprise Program Management and Strategic Planning/Reporting. She also served as deputy division manager for Pantex SS&ES. As group leader of Program Management at Pantex, she provided oversight for resource/budget management, project management, performance assurance, and logistical support.

McWilliams has spent her career providing and managing business services. Prior to her work at Pantex, she served 9 years as manager and treasurer for American General Corporation in various capacities including management of financial reporting, tax compliance, and benefits accounting.

McWilliams holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas Tech University. Additionally, she is a certified public accountant with more than 34 years of business management experience.
